 Annoucements:

RISE Writing Test will be this Wednesday and Thursday. We will be testing after lunch for about an hour.  Please make sure your student is here!  Additional RISE testing will not resume until after Spring Break.

Book Reports: Last week students recieved a packet to fill out for their book report.  They need to complete the packet, particularly the summary page which they will use to present their report. Then, students need to use their imagination to create a "movie poster" for the book that they read. Reports are due Friday. Expectations and instructions have been gone over multiple times in the classroom but if there are additional questions, please contact me.  

Side note: Large pieces of paper have been provided for students to do their poster on. I have extras in the classroom if they need another.  

Here is a quick example of a poster I did as an example.  I used a variety of mediums: paint, pen, marker, colored pencil and even printed off a couple of different parts. 

I don't expect perfection, but I do expect to see effort.

Food Drive: Please help contribute to our school's food drive going on now until March 26th.

Yearbooks: Yearbooks are now on sale.  Purchase through MyDSD from now until April 17th for $18.  After April 17th, they will go up to $25.

Reading Calendar: This month's reading calendar is green and due on Monday, March 30th. Please make sure calendars have a parent. Read! Know that another book report will be coming up in about a month.
