Welcome Back to our Classroom Blog and 2026!
Yup, it's finally back up and running.
Announcements:
Biztown: Thank you to all the volunteers that made the day run smoothly. The students had a great time and learned so much about economy, budgeting, and teamwork. I will post pictures for the next few weeks, but check out our teams below!
New Monthly Reading Calendars: Instead of weekly reading and math homework, we have now switched to a monthly reading calendar/tracker. This calendar is for students to keep track of time spent reading independently. Reading from a novel is preferred. Students are only required to read a total of 1 hour per week. The reading calendar with a guardian’s signature is due FEBRUARY 2nd. In order for students to get credit for independent reading, students must turn in this calendar.
ReadBowl: We're excited to announce that our students will join the ReadBowl, a fun reading competition by former NFL player and children’s book author, Malcolm Mitchell. The ReadBowl runs for four weeks, with students logging their reading minutes at home. The event starts Monday, January 12th, and ends on February 8th. Please fill out the page that was sent home along side their new monthly classroom reading calendars.
